Heritage Breed Chickens and Eggs
At Findley Ridge Ranch we raise free range and non-GMO Heritage Breed chickens (essentially another name for endangered livestock). We have two spacious laying coops for our 25 hens and roosters who come and go as they please. Our Heritage Breeds include Aracauna and Chantecler and are always GMO, hormone and antibiotic-free.
For more information on our recognized Heritage Breeds, please visit the American Livestock Conservancy website. |
Libby

Meet Libby, the Queen of Findley Ridge Ranch. Libby is our registered Great Pyrenees bred from working lines. She joined our “Findley Ridge Security Team” in 2012 and loves hanging out with her goats and keeping them safe. This girl is sweet as can be and such a kind, gentle momma. Libby’s favorite pastimes include snuggling, relaxing in hay beds and having her long wavy locks brushed every morning.
Kiva

Kiva is our Anatolian Shepard that we adopted from Salad Fork Ranch (NM) when he was just 10 weeks old. Anatolians are a Turkish breed and Kiva is classically marked and the perfect head of our Security Team. He loves spending time in the morning atop his hay bales watching over his Findley Ridge Kingdom. His favorite things include giving 6-foot tall hugs to his favorite family members, having his weekend cup of coffee (really!) and gobbling up treats.
Mona

Mona Lisa, or “Mona” is the Princess of parents Kiva and Libby. She is our “Pyr-atolian” mix and was born and raised on Findley Ridge Ranch. Mona has been frolicking with her goats since she was 3 weeks old. She is our mischievious little puppy and is a pro at opening gates and nosing her way into the barn. Some of her favorite daily activities are digging holes in the hay barn, going on long walks around the ranch, and checking the chicken coops for any leftover eggs her feathered friends left behind.
